Unit 10 Blog
I can't believe that we are at the end. It has been quite a journey, one which I found to be quite enlightening and enjoyable.
When I look back although I still see myself as a 10 psychologically and spiritually, I've noticed subtle improvements. One is that I meditate more especially at work when I have to present plans to a difficult client or interact with a co-worker who is unpleasant. It has been so helpful and keeps me planted to the floor. I am able to take care of the task and move on to the next seamlessly. Which tells me that meditation works well and that I should continue to integrate the practice into my day-to-day.
My physical rank has moved up to a 9 from an 8. I have incorporated more organic choices into my diet, more fish, less meat and while I haven't really lost pounds, some inches have left. We are starting a yoga class at work. Things have become quite chaotic with the transition of ownership, people being let go or work schedules cut back. It was decided that this will help to build morale; bring back the calm and peace.
I still think of the rainbow and its correlation to our bodies, mind and spirit. It's a different way to assess life as I always thought of the rainbow as an amazing feat of nature. Now, I have something else to relate it to that for me affirms God's presence in my life.
Life is still somewhat of a mystery but one that is the best gift that mankind can ever receive.
The best to you all,
Iris
Iris,
ReplyDeleteI think it is a good thing that you have been able to use this course to maintain your health. I also find meditation to be useful in stress reduction. I also utilize visualization, especially in the work place. This has been ten weeks packed full of information. I am glad that it was for things that we can use in our everday lives.
Good luck to you!
You are so right, visualization is also a great resource tool. I'm a visual learner so anything of interest that I see stays with me. It's like having a camera inside of my head. I also have to agree that we learned a lot about ourselves and others; it's always so interesting to find out how similar we all are especially when it comes to aspirations, goals and dreams. It's been my pleasure working and meeting with all of you. Wishing you all the best!
DeleteHello Iris,
ReplyDeleteI believe we are on similar paths with our progress, my psychological wellness I can rate pretty high because I ensure that I pray and meditate before beginning my day. I also pray in the afternoon to ensure balance and I pray and meditate in the evening to close my day. The one thing that this course has assisted me with is my daily meditation and pray. Before this course I would pray in the evening but now I see the importance of doing this at the beginning and end of my day, it helps to keep my focus and keep an open mind about people and their opinions.
I enjoyed reading your Unit 10 blog thanks for sharing and best of luck with your future :)
