Unit 3 Blog

We've been asked to rank our Psychological, Physical and Spiritual Well-Being from 1-10 with 10 being the highest. This is how I perceive me - (a) Psychological - 10: I believe myself to be a well-rounded and well-grounded person. Not too many things bother me to the annoyance at times of my family and close friends. They feel that I am to generous in the way I think and handle others. But for me in many instances, resolution far outweighs reaction.  Especially as it relates to relationships. I also think of how it will affect me mentally and physically. And, if I feel the matter unworthy of my time and energy, I say a prayer and release it.  (b) Physical - 8:  I can engage in more exercise and also lose a few pounds. I'm at the age when gravity is definitely setting in. So it would be to my advantage to tighten up some areas.  Overall, I am healthy but because hypertension and heart disease is a part of my family history, it behooves me to pay closer attention. (c) Spiritual - 10: I love my God and totally believe that through Him I am able to overcome and conquer.  I pray several times a day as the need arises because it calms me and brings me peace. I also meditate and feel that works well because it is more "me" focus from a different perspective. The two practices keep me balanced.

The MP3 tape was amazing as it showed me the connection to the beauty of a rainbow. Red being one of my favority colors makes me think of all things positive. It enhances my feeling of connection. I found myself smiling.  Orange another favorite color is so easy to imagine because when I practice my Qi it is also from this area of my body to help promote inner healing.  Each of the colors the practitioner asks us to imagine are all things that I feel most of the time. Yellow symbolizes brightness and joy. Emeral green makes me think of riches. How better can we enhance the richness of our bodies through love; being well-loved or by giving love.  Aqua blue makes me think of water but here the practitioner talks of purpose and creativity. I always felt that I had a special purpose because of the way people respond to me although not always fully understanding what the purpose might be.  Creatively, I'm good at making people feel at home. Having been told that the ambiance of my home invites you in.  Indigo Blue also so rich and vibrant in color would not have made me think of balance initially but as I go through the exercise I am ask to envision as such.  I believe that balance comes from understanding the need to weigh and assess a situation before responding. Violet, makes thing of all things regal. As the practitioner says it is the connector to bigger parts of the universe - the calmness and the peace.

All of the colors of the rainbow as presented in this way promotes joy, happiness, loving-kindness and spirit connecting us the best life has to offer.
